In therapy, we will work together to find what works best for you, which may be gaining a balance between finding ways to alleviate or manage symptoms (such as symptoms of depression, anxiety, or an eating disorder, etc) but also working to address what's underlying the symptoms (stress, family of origins, relationships, biological factors, trauma, etc.) 

Typically, therapy entails weekly sessions that last 50 minutes, however, some people find it helpful to see a therapist more than once a week as it can provide additional support as well as allow a more in-depth exploration of the difficulties you are dealing with. While some issues can be resolved in a short amount of time, therapy that takes a well-rounded in depth approach usually requires a longer period of time. 

Individual therapy with me focuses on increasing awareness of your habitual patterns, learning to accept yourself as you are, and figuring out how to be more present in each moment.
