About
I meet with people at different moments in their lives, offering a space to think together about what is difficult, uncertain, or hard to carry alone.
I am interested in what lies beneath the surface of things.
There is something that becomes possible in a sustained and unhurried space. A kind of deep knowing that cannot be forced, but that can be cultivated over time. I find myself drawn to this. To what has not yet been thought, to what has been felt but not yet named, and to the particular kind of understanding that can develop when there is enough room for all of it.
Background
My approach is grounded in contemporary psychoanalytic thinking, with an emphasis on the ways our histories continue to shape how we experience ourselves and others.
I completed my graduate studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies and have pursued advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
I am currently a post-seminar candidate at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California.
